The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) on Thursday detained at least 24 Indian fishermen and seized four boats off the Jakhau coast in Gujarat, Press Trust of India quoted the National Fisherworkers' Forum (NFF) officials as saying.

They were detained near the International Maritime Border Line (IMBL) in the morning, NFF secretary Manish Lodhari told PTI. The men had gone out for fishing from Porbandar and Okha.

"We have learned that at least 24 fishermen on four boats were apprehended by PMSA near Jakhau coast today morning. Two boats are registered in Okha while two belong to Porbandar. These fishermen and their boats were being taken to Karachi port by PMSA," Lodhari said.

Pakistan has apprehended as many as 191 fishermen and seized around 34 boats in six different incidents in the past.
