"Outlander's" lead cast Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have finished shooting for the show's season 1's remaining half. The duo recently spoke about the success of the show and opportunities that lay ahead of them.

"It's just been really nice since we've come back. Obviously a show like this opens more doors and creates more opportunities, which is amazing, but other than that, I still hang out with my friends and do my thing," said Balfe to Popsugar.

"Outlander" will return to the screens on April 4, 2015. The mid-season finale left the fans at cliffhanger when Black Jack Randall took Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) as a prisoner. It remains to be seen what Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) will do to save Claire from the clutches of Black Jack.

Reportedly, the fans of the show are upset by the fact that there is more than six months' gap between the first and second part of the season. However, Balfe who plays Claire on the show said that anticipation could be most enjoyable part.

"A lot of shows are doing [split seasons] now, and it also gave us a chance to finish filming, because that was also a big thing," she further explained.

Meanwhile, not much is known about the plot of the upcoming episodes of the show. It is speculated that the makers will try to build up on Claire and Jamie Fraser's love story, as the episode which featured their wedding night was highly praised by the fans and received maximum viewership.

Dishing out some details on the "Outlander" Season 1 second part, Heughan said that they have filmed a boat scene, where he and Balfe had to row and it is apparently the toughest scene they have filmed so far.

"The boat was tough. We're not very good at rowing," said the actor.

"Outlander" tells a story of nurse, Claire Randall, who travels through time. The series is based on the Diana Gabaldon's book series by the same name. The cast of the show includes Balfe, Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, and Stephen Walters.
