Voting for the Oscars 2013 was closed on Tuesday, which threw a hint that the much-awaited event is not far off. Well, the 85th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood & Highland Center.

Live Coverage Information of Academy Awards in India:

Oscars 2013 ceremony will be broadcast live on Star Movies and Star Movies HD at 05:30 a.m IST on Monday (7 pm EST Sunday). However, the telecast of the red carpet event will begin at 04:30 a.m.

Around 1.2 billion people are expected to watch the event on TV, online, and mobile devices.

This year's Oscars Awards ceremony is expected to be a fun-filled one as provocative comedian Seth MacFarlane is going to host the event. The 39-year-old creator of animated TV series "Family Guy," "American Dad" and "The Cleveland Show", is sure to bring the house down with his sense of humour.

"We love the expectation of the newness of Seth and we love the fact that people don't quite know what they're going to get with him as a host. We think it adds to the speculation and the interest in the show," said Neil Meron, who is co-producing the Academy Awards with Craig Zadan tols Reuters.

The Dolby Theatre, where the event will be held, is said to have turned out into a secular venue.

"It took 70 workers several months to complete a massive transformation of the 180,000-square-foot, 3,400-seat theatre, including installing nearly 200 top-of-the-line speakers, many of which will be used for the Oscars," wrote Oscar blog. "Now, the Dolby Theatre is a world-class venue that presents the best entertainment experience possible."
