Chinese smartphone-maker Oppo Electronics Corp has officially released the new budget handset dubbed as Neo 5 (2015) in India.
The new Neo 5 (2015) was originally unveiled along with Neo 5s early this month in China and now it has set foot in the subcontinent. Oppo Neo 5 (2015) sports 4.5-inch FWVGA LCD IPS screen on the front and military grade glass fibre coat on the rear side for durability.
Under the hood, it comes packed with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 1GB RAM, 8GB memory, 1.3GHz Mediatek quad-core CPU and a 2,000mAh battery.
Oppo Neo 5 (2015) India Release Date and Price Details:
The company has reportedly confirmed that the new Oppo Neo 5 (2015) has been made available across India starting on Monday (15 June) for ₹9,990. As of now, there is no word on when the company will release the Oppo Neo 5s in India.
Going by the specifications, ₹9,990 price tag of Oppo Neo 5 (2015) is tad expensive because some of the recently released budget phones like YU Yuphoria, Xiaomi Redmi 2, Motorola Moto E (4G-LTE) and Coolpad Dazen 1 have much superior features and cost less than ₹7,500. So, it will be hard for Oppo to convince budget-conscious consumers to sway into its fold.
