Chinese technology giant Oppo Electronics Corp is reportedly planning to launch its new smartphone N1 Mini in India next week.
The company has begun sending out press invites to select media houses for an event scheduled on 11 August, reported NDTV. Though there is no mention of the significance of the occasion, many believe that the event will witness the launch of the N1 Mini, the company's compact version of the flagship swiveling-camera phone N1.
Even the company has been flaunting N1 Mini on its official social network sites for the past one week, hinting the launch of the device.
Oppo N1 Mini made its debut in June. It sports a 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS LCD screen and runs on Android OS (with Oppo's custom ColorOS UI), 1.6GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 305 graphics engine, 16GB inbuilt memory and 2140 mAh battery.
The compact Oppo phone also boasts the swiveling 13.0-megapixel camera on top, similar to N1 which can rotate 206-degree, thus eliminating the need for a secondary snapper and also providing full HD-quality video chat option for users. It also features HDR, F2.0 aperture and can capture 24.0-megapixel quality picture, via the company's 'Super Zoom' technology.
Once released, the new Oppo N1 Mini will be competing with Motorola's Moto X, Gionee Elife 7 Mini, Xiaomi Mi3 and domestic branded Octa-core based devices, such Canvas Knight, Intex Aqua Octa and others.
