After weeks of rumours, Chinese smartphone-maker Oppo pulled the wraps off the eagerly awaited R7 and its phablet variant R7 Plus in China on Wednesday, 20 May.
Oppo R7:
The new Oppo R7 sports brushed metal cover on the rear side and on the front it features 5.0-inch full HD display. It is powered by the Android 5.0 Lollipop (with ColorOS v2.1 UI) backed by 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), sumptuous 3GB RAM, 16 GB inbuilt memory and a 2,320mAh battery.
It also boasts a 13mp camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and an 8mp snapper on the front.
Oppo R7 Plus:
As the name suggests Oppo R7 Plus is a phablet version of the above model. It not only comes with a big screen, but also comes endowed with advanced hardwares like finger print sensor on the rear-side (below camera module), bigger storage and battery capacity and an advanced 13mp Sony IMX278 camera with Laser based auto-focus feature.
For the uninitiated, this new camera auto-focus feature measures the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam enabling quick capture of good quality photos even under low-light conditions
R7 Plus sports 6.0-inch full HD screen and runs on the same Snapdragon 615 series CPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory and high-capacity 4,100mAh battery.
Oppo R7 and R7 Plus Release and Price Details:
The company has confirmed that the new Oppo R7 and R7 Plus can be pre-ordered by the consumers from 21 May for about ₹25,710 (¥2499/$403/€362) and about ₹30,850 (¥2999/$483/€435) respectively in China from the official e-store page, HERE.
However, the details regarding the release of new Oppo devices in global markets including India are still under wraps.
