New Delhi, Oct 24 (ANI): Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Thursday said that no drop in onion production is expected due to some crop damage because of rains. He said that the prices are likely to fall in the next 2-3 weeks. The minister said that the Centre will release Rs 921.98 crore to Maharashtra for the damages caused to onion crop due to excess rains. There is no real scarcity of onions, Commerce Minister Anand Sharma, said, adding that the prices are expected to stabilize in the coming few weeks.
