OnePlus made quite an appearance with its all-new OnePlus X smartphone, redefining style and performance in a whole new package. The handset received nothing but applause for its impressive combination of specs and price. But, OnePlus X is not alone in the battle as rivals offer compelling features too. Lenovo, for instance, wooed us all with its Vibe P1. This has confused shoppers.

In order to find out which handset is better, we are going to look at individual specs of OnePlus X and Lenovo Vibe P1 side-by-side. By the end of it, we will be able to draw a conclusion as to which smartphone is best suited for you.

Design

Both phones have distinctive design strategies. Starting with the OnePlus X, the handset comes with a metal and glass body. Quite frankly, the handset looks extremely classy and stylish. OnePlus X also comes in a ceramic limited edition variant but it costs more than the onyx (glass) variant. The handset measures 140 x 69 x 6.9 mm and weighs just 138 grams.

Comparatively, Lenovo Vibe P1 looks like a premium device itself thanks to the metal back panel, sleek design, curved back and a fine finish. Lenovo Vibe P1 is bigger and heavier compared to OnePlus X, measuring 152.9 x 75.6 x 4.6-9.9mm and 189 grams in weight.

So your choice of smartphone is based entirely on what you prefer, smaller and lighter OnePlus X with a delicate design or a bigger and heavier Lenovo Vibe P1 with a sturdy finish.

Display

Besides the difference in screen size, both Lenovo Vibe P1 and OnePlus X feature identical screens. The OnePlus smartphone packs a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 441ppi. On the other hand, Lenovo Vibe P1 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 10 finger touch input.

So, it's basically the size of the display that suits you best will help you with the right choice.

Camera

OnePlus X features a 13-megapixel ISOCELL 2M2 CMOS sensor with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, Full HD, slow motion video recording and LED flash. On the front side of the device, you will find an 8MP OV8858 sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

As for Lenovo Vibe P1, there's a 13-megapixel auto-focus camera with zero shutter lag, fast-focus PDAF tech and a dual-colour LED flash. Selfie lovers can relish upon with the 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Real-world comparisons only can give a clear picture of which smartphone has a better camera but looking at the on-paper specs, OnePlus X might have a superior camera than Lenovo Vibe P1.

Performance

OnePlus X is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU and backed by Adreno 330 GPU for graphics and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. On the other hand, Lenovo Vibe P1 packs a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 octa core processor, Adreno 405 GPU with 2 GB RAM, which is still a great combo for multi tasking.

Clearly, the Snapdragon 801 processor outbids the Snapdragon 615, despite the additional cores in the Lenovo Vibe P1. However, you will not witness a major lag while using the Vibe P1 but OnePlus X is expected to perform flawlessly.

Luckily, both smartphones feature microSD card support to add extra storage up to 128GB. In terms of on board memory, Lenovo Vibe P1 takes the lead with 32GB as compared to 16GB built-in storage in the OnePlus X. Additionally, the Lenovo smartphone supports OTG to connect pen drives directly to the phone, a feature that is yet to be confirmed in the OnePlus X.
