OnePlus 5 is one of the most anticipated flagship smartphones this year apart from iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8. As the curiosity to know more about the upcoming OnePlus smartphone grows, rumours and speculations get more and more attention. In the latest development, OnePlus 5 rumours reveal two main details about the phone, and it's both exciting and disappointing.

First, leaked schematics of the OnePlus 5 reveal that the handset will sport a dual-camera setup at the back. The sketch does not reveal the fingerprint scanner placement at the back or the side, which means it will be placed at the front, contradicting to the earlier rumours about a bezel-less design.

The prototype design of the OnePlus 5 created by Android Authority shows a striking similarity to the OnePlus 3/3T. The dual rear camera is the main highlight here, while the rest of the design, including antenna lines, alert slider, volume and power buttons, remains unchanged. Still, this isnt the final design and the real deal might be different (and more visually appealing).

But it's not the design of the smartphone that's concerning or even disappointing here. The report revealed that OnePlus 5 will use more expensive components, pushing the price of the device higher. The upcoming flagship is expected to cost as high as $650, placing it at par with brands like Apple and Samsung.

The question is whether OnePlus is just there yet? We are not too certain of that. OnePlus built its brand value with flagship premium products offered at competitive prices. As the OnePlus 5 is rumoured to have high-end specs, such as 8 gigs of RAM, Snapdragon 835 chipset, 128GB storage and a 2K display, which will give devices like Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, iPhone 7s and others a tough competition, consumers would still expect it to cost lower than its rivals.

We'll know for sure what the real deal is when the company officially launches the phone in June or July this year.
