OnePlus had recently announced the release of a new colour-variant of the OnePlus 3 by the end of July.

Keeping its word, the company has launched OnePlus 3 in a soft gold version. It has been made available in the United States starting today, while other regions in the world are slated to get it from Aug. 1.

"Today, we're introducing a new colour variant of the OnePlus 3 — Soft Gold. This isn't your typical gaudy gold smartphone. We've toned the colour down for a light, elegant look," the company said in statement.

Except the yellow-hued body, the new OnePlus 3 features the same design language and internal hardware and costs the same as the original model.

It comes with a full-metal uni-body design and sports an Optic AMOLED-based 5.5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 4 shield. OnePlus 3 also features a physical home button, which also doubles up as fingerprint sensor with a superfast 0.2 response time.

It comes packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor backed by sumptuous 6GB LPDDR4 series RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage and a 3000mAh battery. OnePlus 3 also boasts a state-of-the-art quick charge technology dubbed as Dash Charge, which can charge the phone from zero to 60 percent in 30 minutes. It is enough to play more than seven hours of full HD video.
