All eyes are on the OnePlus 3 as its release date is drawing close. The hype around the device is huge, following the success of the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. The upcoming next-generation smartphone is expected to come with several feature upgrades over its predecessor.
It is confirmed that the OnePlus 3 will be released next week and the unveiling event will happen virtually via Loop VR headsets. The company's co-founder of the company Carl Pei has said that the OnePlus 3 will be unveiled at 12:30 pm (Eastern Time) on June 14, and open sales will start at 3:00 pm (Eastern Time) on the same day.
AndroidWorld (via GSMArena) has reported that OnePlus 3 will be up for booking through a flash sale on Monday in China before it is officially launched. It said that 1,000 units of the device will be up for flash sale on the unveiling day but shipment will start only after the official announcement.
The report by AndroidWorld went on to say that the OnePlus 3 will be available for 2,999 Yuan (around $455/Rs. 30,600) during the first flash sale but it may not be the actual price. There is a condition that buyers will have to pay more if the actual price is more than 2,999 Yuan, but they will be paid back if the price is lesser than the amount they have paid. Buyers have the option to pull out of the deal within seven working days if they are not happy with the price difference.
