Just a few days ago, a snapshot of OnePlus 3 surfaced online revealing its design language. Now, the release date and internal hardware details of the flagship smartphone has leaked, evoking excitement among fans.
Twitter spy Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) has revealed that OnePlus 3 will sport a full HD (1920x1080p) display and come packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core CPU, 64GB storage, a 16MP primary camera and Near Field Communication (NFC).
The tipster also posted a screenshot of the system information of OnePlus 3 (codenamed RAIN A3000), which revealed the device ran on Google's latest Android N (preview)-based OxygenOS 3.0 mobile OS.
Though there is no evidence to prove the authenticity of the report, Blass' track record is too good for us to dismiss his claims. Most of the features revealed by him seem plausible considering the fact that most of the OnePlus 3 features are already seen on the current crop of marquee phones such as Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, HTC 10, and others, which hit stores just recently.
In a related development, Android Authority, citing a source has claimed that OnePlus 3 will make its debut in the second week of June.
The website's tipster, while speaking to an OnePlus representative on the sidelines of the release of Loop VR headset on May 24, casually asked about the launch date of OnePlus 3. To that, the representative replied that it will take place on June 14. he further said that fans can also be able to watch the unveiling programme online without the VR headset as well.
The company has not responded to the media over the speculated OnePlus 3 launch date yet.
