OnePlus 2, X upgrade: Phone exchange programme launched in India [How to check device's buyback value]

Emerging Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus in collaboration with ReGlobe has launched a new smartphone exchange programme in India.

The company is offering OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X in the upgrade option. Prospective consumers who are ready to part with their old phone in exchange for a new OnePlus phone stand a chance to get cash discounts and also additional one year manufacturer warranty, provided that older devices' buyback value is more than Rs. 5000.

According to the company, the OnePlus 2 owner would be getting the B2X Service and the OnePlus X will be getting the B2X On-Guard Plus add-on as part of this scheme.

If the device's buyback price is less than Rs. 5000, then the users can still opt for exchange option and avail the new smartphone (OnePlus 2 or X) at discounted price.

This exchange deal is currently available in select cities in India, which include Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Secundrabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Ahemdabad.

Here's how to find the device's buyback value:

Step 1: Go to ReGlobe's dedicated OnePlus page (HERE)

Step 2: Select your smartphone brand

Step 3: After selecting your device's brand, user will be shown the list of models eligible for exchange. If your phone is listed, select it.

[Note: if the phone model does not figure in the list, then users have to buy OnePlus device at full price]

Step 4: after selection of the model, users will be directed to another page, where they have to describe the condition of their device.

Step 5: Once all the prescribe options are ticked, you can click blue hued– 'quote price' button, to get buyback price.

Step 6: after getting buyback value of the old device, users will asked to choose to two selling options- Buy First, Sell Later and another -Sell First, Buy Next scheme.

How does Buy First, Sell Later option work?

If a customer opts to buy the new device first, ReGlobe's customer service will share the invite code for the OnePlus smartphone of your choice and will schedule a pick-up for a future date. ReGlobe will then approve the sale of the older device as well as receive a confirmation from OnePlus on activation of the invite by the buyer. Once the above procedures are completed, a page-link is sent to the customer to avail the free insurance being offered (only on the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X) and an Amazon Gift Coupon matching the quote of your older device within 3-5 working days.

How does Sell First, Buy Next work?

If a customer would like to sell their older device first, ReGlobe will assist them in the same. Once this sale transaction is complete, the customer will receive an invite for their choice of OnePlus smartphone along with an Amazon Gift Coupon, which matches the negotiated quote of the older device.
