The "One Direction" boys aren't as squeaky clean as the world believes them to be, as a new video has surfaced online that shows band members Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson lighting up a joint while in Peru.

In the video seen on Mail Online, Tomlinson and Malik are in an SUV and the former announces: "So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days!"

Later in the video, someone is heard asking, "Are we allowed to talk contraband in this?" to which Tomlinson replies, "Yes, that's what it is about."

Later, the camera is focused on a nearby police motorcyclist, and Tomlinson explains, "One nil b***h! Look at this b***h! He's having a look. He's thinking, 'I'm sure I can smell an illegal substance in there.' And he's hit the nail on the head."

Continuing to film Malik, Tomlinson says that the singer takes his job seriously. "He makes sure he goes through a two hour intense warm-up before every show. Just to get himself in the zone for the show.

"One very very important factor of Zayn's warm up of course if Mary J herself. In fact I will present it to him now for some fantastic singing."

The controversial video has upset many fans who have taken to their Twitter accounts asking the boys to stay away from smoking. Several fans have sought an apology from the boys as they are seen as role models by a good number of youngsters.

In the meantime, they also have a good number of supporters who believe the news of Malik and Tomlinson smoking pot shouldn't be blown out of proportion.

British rapper and singer-songwriter Professor Green said that the boys should be left alone as they were just having a bit of fun.
