Crime thriller, "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara" produced by Ekta Kapoor has passed the Friday test. After registering 100 percent occupancy on Thursday, i.e. on Independence Day, the gangster drama did pretty well at the box office on Friday.

The film opened to 1000 more screens across the country on Friday. The film raked in approximately ₹14.2 crore on the first day despite releasing in limited screens of 1,600 in India.

Interestingly, the collections on Friday declined despite the increase in screen count. "OUATIMD" raked in approximately ₹12.5 crore on Friday. Tanuj Garg, chief operating officer of Balaji Motion Pictures, on his Twitter handle posted the two days figures of "OUATIMD".

The two day - Thursday and Friday - domestic total of the film is ₹26.7 crore. [Note: these figures are updated by Balaji].

"Thursday paid preview saw 100 per cent occupancy. Friday also so far it's 80 per cent. Expecting to do better during evening. Mostly youth are watching and less families as there is lot of violence in the film," IANS quoted Anant Verma, director and business head of DT Cinemas as saying.

In International market, the film starring Akshay Kumar in lead role has not received good response. Milan Luthria directorial film has managed to earn ₹59.95 lakh from the UK, Australia and New Zealand box office.

The gangster saga also features Sonakshi Sinha, Sonali Bendre and Imraan Khan in lead roles.
