'Jagathy Sreekumar is back in cinema' is something that every Malayali is awaiting to hear. After staying away from the entertainment industry for more than three years, Jagathy is all set to grace the small screen as an Onam treat to his fans.

The actor will appear in an Onam special interview "Ambili Kalayode Aavani Ponnunjal" on Kaumudi channel, which will also see the presence of comedian Koottickal Jayachandran, Malayalam's yesteryear actress Menaka Suresh and her husband Suresh Kumar, who is a popular producer in Malayalam.

The special programme will be aired on Kaumudi channel at 10:30 am on Friday, 28 August.

Jagathy will also be featured for Onam special programme in Amrita Channel at 9:30 am with Nedumuni Venu.

Jagathy aka Ambili chettan met with a major car accident earlier in 2012, following which he was paralysed.

However, recently, the actor was in the news for making his first public appearance post the accident. He was also spotted visiting the shooting location of Mammootty's latest film "Utopiayile Rajavu".

The five-time Kerala State Film Award winner is best known for his roles in "Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu" (1986), "Oliyampukal" (1990), "Kilukkam" (1991), "Minnaram" (1994) and "Pattabhishekam" (1999), among others.
