Okinawa Autotech, the Gurgaon-headquartered company, working on electric scooters made a splash when they launched its first e-scooter, Ridge, in the beginning of the year. The company has now launched its second e-scooter, Praise, for Rs 59,889, ex-showroom Delhi.
While Ridge looks like a run-of-the-mill model, Praise boasts of premium features and styling. It has a sporty front apron and houses LED headlight unit with integrated daytime running lamps. The scooter is equipped with telescopic front suspension and double disc brakes up front. The rear wheel also gets a single disc brake unit. In addition, Praise also boasts of Electronic-Assisted Braking System.
The premium features in Praise continues with central locking with anti-theft alarm, keyless entry, find-me-scooter-function and alloy wheels. The e-scooter comes with a digital speed metre for the easy read and sensor-enabled side stand indicator.
Okinawa Praise is powered by 1,000 Watt, BLDC motor and power is stored in the option of 72V/45 Ah VRLA battery or 72V/45 Ah lithium-ion battery. The VRLA battery requires six to eight hours to fully recharge while the lithium-ion battery requires just an hour. In one full charge, Praise can travel 170 to 200kms. The speed in Economy mode is limited to 35kmph, the Sporty mode allows 65kmph while in the Turbo mode, the scooter can traverse up to 75kmph.
Okinawa Praise measures 1,970mm in length, 745mm in width and 1,145mm in height and it has a loading capacity of 150kg. It has 1,200mm wheelbase, 170 ground clearance and 1,838mm turning radius.
Okinawa Autotech had commenced pre-bookings for Praise from November 24. Reports indicate that the company has already received a sizeable number of orders for its latest scooter.
