The trailer of Mani Ratnam's "Ok Kanmani" has been released with a bang. The film has Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. [Watch the video below]
The video presents Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in their romantic bests. The opening scene begins in a railway station it is followed by lovely expressions, conversations and all that we can see in a Mani Ratnam's tales of love.
The trailer points out that "Ok Kanmani" is a new-age love story narrated by Mani Ratnam in his typical way. Dulquer Salmaan impresses audience with his acts and projects himself as a chocolate hero. Whereas Nithya Menen makes a point as a chirpy affectionate girl.
In fact, Nithya Menen steals the shows with her facial expressions as audience cannot help falling in love with her performance. The trailer successfully raises the expectations of the movie. The brilliant background score and cinematography are the other highlights of the 1:22-minute video.
"Ok Kanmani" is produced by Mani Ratnam himself and it is a very important project for him at this stage as some of his recent movies have failed to impress the audience. However, the trailer promises the movie to be a romantic treat and people hope that the maverick filmmaker will return to form sooner than later.
The upcoming Tamil movie will release in April 2015. Prakash Raj, Leela Samson, Prabhu Lakshman, Ramya Subramaniam, Kanika and others are in the cast. It has two-time Oscar Award winner AR Rahman's music, A Sreekar Prasad's editing and PC Sreeram's cinematography.
