'Noragami Aragoto' Season 3 air date, spoilers: Hiyori become goddess or high priestess to be with Yato?

"Noragami Aragoto" has been on a break since the Season 2 finale, which was aired on Dec. 25, 2015. While BONES studio is yet to officially announce the renewal of the anime, Season 3 is expected to happen by the winter of 2016 or early 2017.

Season 2 of "Noragami Aragoto" had ended with quite a few cliffhangers, especially in terms of Father, who seems to be a sadistic god who is more powerful that anyone we have met before. There is a lot to be learned about this character, including why he is dressed up like a highschooler, what unfinished business he has with Yato and most importantly why he kissed Hiyori.

Answer to the last question may be directly related to Yato and Father's mysterious past. According to the manga series, Father was very mean to Yato and it took a lot on the young god's part to escape from his grips. Father knows of the affection Yato has for Hiyori and possibly kissed her only to spite him.

Meanwhile, fans are desperately waiting to see Hiyori and Yato together. While a god/Human relationship seems weird in real life, in the "Noragami Aragoto" setting it seems alright. A few fans have predicted that Hiyori could even be elevated to a High Priestess or a Goddess in the future.

This, however, does go a little against character for Hiyori and also Yato, who has made it clear in the past that he wants her to live a human life. Fans did see Kofuku tie Hiyori and Yato's name plates together in the soulmate ceremony, Reddit user jaytoddz reminds us. This probably means in one way or another they will end up together.
