Nokia’s 4.5-inch Lumia 925 Smartphone with Aluminum Chassis Launched

Finnish handset maker Nokia on Tuesday unveiled the Aluminum based Lumia 925 smartphone, an upgraded variant of the company's flagship smartphone Lumia 920, in London.

Lumia 925 sports a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA screen with 1280x768p display resolution and runs on the Windows Phone 8 OS powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor. It packs 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.

The new Nokia phone houses a remarkable 8.7-megapixel PureView camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), auto-focus, dual-LED flash support and also comes with Nokia's upgraded Smart Camera mode with more photo editing options. On the front side, it sports a 1.2-megapixel wide-angle camera.

During the launch, executive vice president of Nokia Smart Devices, Jo Harlow said, "We're advancing experiences on the Nokia Lumia portfolio whether that means great new benefits for an existing Lumia owner, or bringing new showcase devices like the Nokia Lumia 925."

Terry Myerson, corporate vice president, Microsoft Windows Phone Division, who also present at the press conference said, "Together with Nokia, we continue to change the way people think about smartphone cameras. The work Nokia has done with the Lumia 925 further enhances the imaging capabilities of the Lumia smartphones."

Nokia has confirmed that Lumia 925 will be priced 469 euros (excluding taxes) and it will be available initially in UK, US (T-Mobile), China, Germany,Italy and Spain in June and later in other markets.
