In late 2013, Finnish handset maker Nokia attracted massive media attention at the Nokia World Event, Abu Dhabi with its Lumia 1520 smartphone, the company's first ever phablet.

Now, the media and tech fans alike have turned their focus towards Nokia's rumoured metal-clad Lumia 929, which is likely to be the company's new marquee phone that is set to compete with its rivals in the 5-inch segment.

To help give a better perspective of what's in the new Nokia phone, we have pieced together some of the probable features, price details and also the expected launch date from the rumours which have been circulating for quite some time.

Display and Design:

Just a few days ago, the rumoured Lumia 929 - dubbed as Lumia Icon - made an appearance at American network carrier Verizon's website. However, soon after the report went wild on the internet, the page was pulled down.

Popular tech blog Engadget took a screen shot of the page before it was taken off. In the snapshot, Lumia 929 (aka Icon) is seen sporting a rectangular bar-shaped body with curved edges and features a 5.0-inch full HD display.

The Nokia phone is also pegged to flaunt a metallic finish on the rear side, like its predecessor Lumia 925.

Processor, RAM and Storage:

Nokia Lumia 929 is said to pack Qualcomm's 2013 chipset Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor, with max CPU speed up to 2.3Ghz, backed by Adreno 330 graphics card, 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage.

Mobile Operating System:

Nokia's recently released phones - Lumia 1520, 1320 and 525 - run on the new Windows Phone 8 with Lumia Black update. Hence the Lumia 929 too is expected ship with the same OS. New updated OS features App folder (allows the user to group all similar applications under a single roof), Glance v2.0, Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) support, Nokia Beamer, new and improved Nokia Camera app, Camera Refocus and Nokia Story Teller (photo album feature).

Camera:

Like all high-end Nokia phones, the Lumia 929 will also house a feature-rich PureView camera (20.0-megapixel) on the rear side and a wide-angle snapper on the front side.

The main camera reportedly features Dual LED flash support and also boasts dual-shot ability to capture 16-MP and 5-MP resolution pictures.

Expected launch and Price details:

Though Nokia skipped the recently concluded CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2014, a bumper case-maker, by the name Incipio, showcased its new shell-case for the unreleased Lumia Icon (aka 929), hinting the rumoured phone does exist and its launch is just around the corner.

Verizon's accidental leak of Lumia 929 (aka Icon) at the company's official page has revealed that the phone will be priced $777 (around ₹47,800 in terms of Indian denomination).
