Almost four months after its global unveiling, the Nokia 301 smartphone has finally set its foot into the Indian market.
Finnish handset maker had launched Nokia 301 along with another affordable phone, Nokia 105, at the Mobile World Congress in February. Nokia 105 had already made its India debut a couple of months ago with a price tag of ₹1,099, and now Nokia 301 has finally reached the country shores.
Nokia 301 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD Transmissive screen with 320x240p resolution and it is powered by a 1200 mAh battery which can give back up to 20 hours of 2G talk time and six hours on 3G.
The budget Nokia phone ships with a 3.2-megapixel camera with 3X digital zoom. The camera also features Panorama mode and Sequential Shot options. Another interesting thing about the phone is that it comes with built-in voice guides that direct the user to come within the camera's frame for a self-portrait.
The striking feature of Nokia 301 is that it comes with 3G connectivity. Users can stream videos from YouTube as well as chat on Facebook via the pre-installed Nokia Xpress Browser.
