If you've been waiting to see how events unfold in the series finale of "Downton Abbey," you have to wait a week longer. Season 6 Episode 9 of the period drama will air Sunday, March 6, on PBS Masterpiece.

The Season 6 finale episode will perhaps tie up all the major storylines and offer a closure of some sort. Fans of the show will want to see another marriage in the Crawley household, and perhaps the birth of Anna and Bates' baby.

[Spoiler Alert]

A Spoiler TV article offers an insight into what fans can expect in Episode 9. The report, which includes details about the "Christmas Special" episode which aired in the UK in Dec. 2015, says the finale was filmed at Alnwick Castle, Northumberland, which was used as the location for Brancaster, home of Bertie Pelham (Harry Hadden-Paton).

A Bertie Pelham storyline in the Season 6 finale indicates there's no love lost between him and Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael). Since Episode 9 was filmed at Bertie's home, the show might perhaps include a couple of scenes with the Marquess' mother, who is known to be quite rigid in her views of propriety.

Will Bertie tell his mother the truth about Marigold and his reason for breaking off his engagement to Lady Edith? It remains to be seen if Bertie's mother will pose a problem if the two indeed get together and reconcile their differences.

Season 6 Episode 9's synopsis released via TV Guide reads:

In the series finale, Edith receives a marriage proposal; Tom and Henry go into business together; Thomas finds employment; Denker shares a secret of Spratt's with the dowager; Carson has health issues; and Anna goes into labour.

"Downton Abbey" Season 6 Episode 9 airs Sunday, March 6 at 9 p.m. on PBS Masterpiece. You can live-stream the episode here.
