Fans of the popular supernatural drama series Arrow will have to wait until January 18 to watch a new episode of season 6 since the show in on a winter break. Episode 10 is titled Divided and it is directed by James Bamford.

The mid-season premiere episode could be one of the highly-anticipated episodes of the CW series mainly because the executive producers, Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle, have teased the return of a fan favourite character.

"We are thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year. Roy is called back to star city to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team," said the executive producers.

Guggenheim and Mericle also dished about a reunion between Thea and Roy in the upcoming episodes of Arrow season 6. So, romance could be on the cards for the two of them.

"His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences," Deadline quoted the executive producers.

However, the fans will have to wait a little longer to know more about the mid-season premiere episode of the supernatural drama series because the CW is yet to release the official synopsis for the chapter.

Meanwhile, Guggenheim has opened up his plans for the new seasons of Arrow and its spin-off series Legends Of Tomorrow. "I would say on Legends we have an idea for what I will call the raison d'etre of season 4. And we have, for Arrow, a plan for the Big Bad," he said during an interview with Comic Book.

"I can't say that both will absolutely come to pass, because we always give ourselves the freedom to come up with a better idea. And that does happen on occasion. But I would describe it as some really nice clarity about where both shows would be going in their subsequent seasons. We don't have official pickups on either one but we are kind of expecting them. The ratings have been pretty good this year," the executive producer added.
