The much anticipated superhero crossover episode between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will begin from November 28.Facebook/Arrow

Arrow season 5 will not be aired this Wednesday, November 23, as the show is taking a week-long hiatus before it returns with episode 8. The sequel marks the 100th episode of The CW series and it is titled Invasion.

The cancellation of the epic superhero crossover episode with The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow is due to the scheduled live broadcast of a special show called The Hollywood Walk Of Fame Honors.

After watching the shocking cliffhanger of episode 7 that teased a team up between Prometheus and Evelyn Crawford Sharp a.k.a. Artemis, it will be disappointing for the fans to know that they will have to wait for another week to find out more about their relationship.

Until the supernatural drama series resumes with a new episode on The CW next Wednesday, November 30, at 8pm EST, watch the last few episodes of the current season live online here (only in the US).

Meanwhile, speculations suggest that the female recruit might be playing a double game without the knowledge of Oliver Queen and the rest of the team. There are also rumours that she might have been frustrated with the working style of Star City's mayor and she is trying to free herself.

Here is the official synopsis for Arrow season 5 episode 8, titled Invasion:

Oliver wakes up to a life where he never got on The Queen's Gambit. Robert and Moira Queen are alive and well. Laurel is his loving fiancée and their wedding is imminent. Everything seems perfect, but Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality. Meanwhile, Felicity and the recruits take on a new threat with help from The Flash and Supergirl.
