The audio of "Lingaa" will be released on Sunday, 16 November. Rajinikanth will be present at the launch of the music album of the forthcoming Tamil movie.
Unlike previous occasions, this time no big names from Bollywood or the Tamil industry will be making an appearance at the launch. Rajinikanth's recent movies were released in the presence of big stars. Shah Rukh Khan's visit to Chennai for the "Kochadaiiyaan" music release is still fresh in the minds of the audience.
IBTimes questioned producer Rockline Venkatesh about the guest list and he said, "Rajinikanth himself is the biggest star of South and who else we require to launch the audio of his film?
"We are ready for the "Lingaa" audio release and hoping that the songs of the movie will impress the audience," added Rockline Venkatesh.
The music will be released at Sathyam at 10 am and this will be attended by the entire film unit including Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Shetty and AR Rahman. A trailer from the movie will also be released at the event.
"Lingaa" has two-time Oscar Award winner AR Rahman's music. The Tamil film has five songs for which Vairamuthu and Madhan Karky have penned the lyrics. The tunes have been composed with the superstar's image in mind and the audience can expect hummable tracks from Rahman again, say sources.
SP Balasubramaniam has crooned Rajinikanth's intro song. Other singers are Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam, Srinivas, Aditi Paul, Mano, Neeti Mohan, Tanvi Shah and Haricharan. The music director himself has sung a number.
The movie is directed by KS Ravikumar, who has worked with the superstar in hit movies like "Padayappa" and "Muthu" (Both blockbusters). Hence, the expectations are very high from the audience this time. The film, which is produced by Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh, has been acquired by Eros International.
