Youth star Nivin Pauly, who is enjoying a huge fan following in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, has been selected as the youth ambassador of Kerala Blasters team. The surprise news of Nivin's association with the Indian Super League (ISL) football team was announced during the team's unveiling ceremony at Marriott hotel in Kochi on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
"We have a surprise element for all of you. We have a youth ambassador for our team. You would know him as Prakashan, Kuttan, Biju or Jerry. The one and only Nivin Pauly. Our very own superstar," the event's host Anjali said while introducing the ambassador of KB team.
When asked if he is nervous to share the dais with other biggies, the "Premam" actor said: "Definitely, like every Indian, I am a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar. I wished to meet him in my life and after coming to cinema, I tried many ways, but I couldn't. Right now, I am standing next to him and it is a priceless moment for me. Thank you sir for this opportunity and to the entire team."
The star-studded event also saw the presence of team owners Sachin Tendulkar, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, who were seen wearing Yellow jersey of the team and white dhothi.
The team members, including Antonio German, Josue, Michael Chopra, Graham Stack, Aaron Hughes, Azrack Mahamat, Sandesh Jhingan, Didier Boris Kadio, Duckens Nazon, Kervens Belfort, Mehtab Hossain, Elhadji Ousseynou Ndoye, Mohammad Rafi, Sandip Nandy, Gurwinder Singh and Cedric Hengbart, were introduced along with former Manchester United player Stephen Coppell, who is their coach.
