Nicki Minaj is all set to become the star of her own mobile video game. It looks like the singer is following in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian, who already has "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" game in her name that made over $40 million in 2014.

Minaj has really gone places — she's not only created waves with her music by selling multiple gold records, but has also been a judge on "American Idol", and endorsed brands like Pepsi and MAC cosmetics.

And now, the singer has signed a deal with Glu Mobile Inc. for a mobile video game app that will be launched in 2016. Various reports have suggested that Minaj will take a cue from Britney Spears and Katy Perry, who have also signed gaming deals recently.

Though there are not many details about what this game is going to be, Twinfinite reports that it will feature Minaj's likeness and voice. Apparently, the singer will also lend her creative perspective to the game.

The website's report also had a statement by Glu's CEO Niccolo de Masi, who confirmed the partnership.

"I am thrilled to welcome the undisputed queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, to Glu's growing list of celebrity partners. Nicki brings to Glu her audience of over 100 million social followers and a new music category. We look forward to combining Nicki's distinctive style and massive global appeal with Glu's celebrity social gaming expertise," he said.

The report also pointed out that Glu has plans to develop mobile games with Jason Statham, Katy Perry, Kylie and Kendall Jenner and Britney Spears as well.

Now, will Nicki Minaj's video game be as successful as Kim Kardashian's "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood"? Only time will tell.
