One of fashion industry's biggest events – New York Fashion Week – is just around the corner and each day more and more exciting news keeps pouring in.

Just when we thought that we could settle down and wait for renowned designers, who have been in the industry for years, to showcase their creations, here comes another pleasant surprise.

Young Australian designers are all set to unveil their Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2016 collection. While there are 20 designers from the country, Sabo Skirt and Nadz and Sabs really caught our fancy and we just couldn't get over how fresh and stylish their designs are.

The upcoming designers are being brought to the NYFW by Australian agency Fashion Palette, which is participating in the fashion event for the fifth year.

Nadz and Sabs

Nadia Khan (Nadz) and Sabrina Rashid (Sabs) -- from Bangladesh but settled in Australia -- are evidently very excited about a NYFW debut and believe that the fashion week will give them a more detailed idea about what works in the US fashion scene.

"New York Fashion Week was an event I always wanted to attend to see what's on trend, but to present our label there is just so exciting," Khan told Dhaka Tribune.

A strong Bangladeshi flavour can be seen in the duo's designs, which often feature detailed thread-work and beading.

"The collection is embellished with exquisite beading and intricate thread embroidery, adapting age-old artistry for contemporary western sensibilities," she added.

Co-founder Rashid also explained how rich she thinks the Bangladeshi textile history is. "We both take enormous pride in our country's textile history."

Sabo Skirt

Thessy Kouzoukas and Yiota Karalouka, the duo behind Sabo Skirt, had probably never dreamt of showcasing their styles at the NYFW. They are childhood friends who studied business at university level, but shot to fame in the fashion world when they started blogging about their new purchases.

The young designers will now be showcasing a brand new and high-end Sabo Luxe line.

"The pieces are for those who love something a little more luxe. A collection of wardrobe essentials that exude a simplistic and minimalistic style, with structured designs immersed in a palette of neutral colours," the duo told Brisbane Times.

Nadz and Sabs and Sabo Skirt will unveil their designs at the New York Fashion Week on 10 September at Pier 59 Studios, Manhattan.

Other Australian designers from Fashion Palette set to feature at NYFW 2015 are:

Bec & Bridge, Emma Mulholland x Mambo, Duskii Active, Viktoria Novak, Bellucio, Emu Designs, Luom.o, Tatiana Light, LAGUNA SYDNEY, Hunt & Heart, EDER+BERK, Antonella Ianni, Deborah Selleck, Simmone Standing, Catherine R Couture, Mae's Sunday, When Freddie Met Lilly and Mauricio Alpizar.
