New Year 2015 has finally arrived at every corner of the world. The occasion was first celebrated in Sydney with some spectacular fireworks while the celebrations in Dubai was aimed to break a Guinness World record with its stunning LED display.

Sydney

Sydney's spectacular fireworks display was caught on video for the first time by a drone at a height of 1,000 feet.

The eye-glittering images take us to one of the world's most iconic and elaborate New Year fireworks displays over the Sydney harbour.

"We are going to have drones flying around above the fireworks giving live broadcast as these amazing fireworks go off on our bridge, on our Opera House and of course on our barges," Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore said as quoted by ABC. "Those images will be beamed to a billion people around the world."

Dubai

Dubai, as always, had a very impressive firework display on the world's tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa, which was attended by several thousand people on the scene and watched live by over one billion people around the world via live streaming.

Some 70,000 LED panels flashed around the massive 2,722-foot Burj Khalifa, throwing out dizzying array of colours, light and projected images of the country's leaders when the clock struck midnight in the country.
