Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited has launched the upgraded version of its Access 125 in India with a price tag of ₹53,223 (on-road Delhi).
Access 125 has received minor cosmetic upgrades and the engine and other features of the scooter remain the same. It is powered by the same 124 cc four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 8.58hp @7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.8 Nm @5,000 rpm.
The new model of Access will come in two new shades: Matte Grey and Black besides the current Candy Antares Red, Pearl Mirage White and Metallic Sonic Silver. The scooter will get new alloy grab rail, tubeless tyres, central locking system with safety shutter and 3D signature logo.
The scooters' front and rear tyres measure 90/100-10 with telescopic front fork. In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki Access measures 1,780 mm in length, 650 mm in width, 1,125 mm in height and comes with a wheelbase of 1,250 mm.
Access 125 will compete with the Honda Activa 125, Honda Aviator and Mahindra Rodeo RZ in Indian two-wheeler market.
Suzuki is all in the market to grab a big share in the burgeoning Indian two-wheeler market. The company, which recently introduced its 110cc segment scooter, will be launching its new Gixxer bike in the coming weeks.
Suzuki already revealed the price details of Gixxer in India and the bookings of the bike are underway.
On the mechanical front, the new Gixxer packs 154.9cc four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 14.8PS @ 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm @ 6,000rpm under the hood. The bike has been priced at ₹78,909 (on-road Delhi), while in Chennai and Bangalore, the Gixxer gets a price tag of ₹82,458 and ₹87,074 respectively.
