An allegedly leaked footage from season 5 of Shonda Rhimes' "Scandal" gave fans a preview of what Olivia and Fitz's relationship would be like moving forward.

Their relationship has been a roller coaster ride, but Olivia and Fitz finally came together in the season 4 finale that saw Fitz and Olivia embracing and flaunting their romance.

The leaked footage shows them indulging in a passionate love-making session now that Olivia has finally chosen Fitz over Jake Ballard, and the First Lady is no longer living in the White House.

According to showrunner Rhimes, Olivia and Fitz's romance will be the only good thing in season 5 of "Scandal".

"The world had been fairly blown apart for everybody except Olivia and Fitz," Rhimes said at the press tour of the Television Critics Association. "Everybody else was in a fairly blown apart place... We pick up right there in that environment and we see what's happens next."

The upcoming season will pick up right from where season 4 left off, with Olivia and Fitz kissing.

"Cyrus no longer working in the White House... Mellie is no longer living in the White House, Jake said he was walking away... Quinn was thinking about killing Huck.... We pick up right there in that environment," Rhimes said, adding that the Fitz-Mellie divorce is a possibility in season 5.

Fans of Jake, the character essayed by Scott Foley, were clearly disappointed when Olivia chose Fitz over the B613 operative. And they might be in for more disappointment in the upcoming season, as rumours are rife that Foley won't be reprising his role as Jake due to his real-life feud with Kerry Washington, who plays Olivia.

"Kerry is a very take-charge gal, but Scott is a veteran actor with his own opinions, and many of them rubbed Kerry the wrong way. Scott knows that Kerry is tight with Shonda, so he sees the writing on the wall. He wouldn't be surprised if he got killed off early this fall," a source told Star magazine, reported Celeb Dirty Laundry.

"Scandal" will return to ABC on 24 September with the episode "Heavy in the Head".
