In its latest barbaric video, the Islamic State (Isis) terrorists have shown the execution of a 19-year-old Syrian soldier, who is crushed to death by a battle tank.
In the new video, the hostage is dressed in an orange jumpsuit. In an effort to further embarrass him, the Isis shaved his hair off from some parts of his scalp.
In the video "And If You Punish [An Enemy, Oh Believers], Punish With An Equivalent Of That With Which You Were Harmed," Isis claims that the prisoner was part of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) allied to President Bashar al Assad. And he had 'confessed' to them that he used to run over the dead bodies of Islamic State fighters with tanks.
The execution clip then shows a battle tank and a second later the Syrian soldier is seen standing on the road as the tank approaches him. The shackled man, standing in the middle of the road, jumps near the wheel of the tank as it nears him, as if to expedite the process of his execution.
The next scene shows him crushed to death. The video was released by Isis on 24 October from "Wilayat Homs", an Isis-control region in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) claimed that the Isis hostage killed in the execution video was Fadi Amr al-Zaydan, 19, from the village of Sian in the Jableh area in northern Latakia province.
SOHR noted that it was first such execution of its kind by Isis in Syria. [Read more - Iraq: New Video Shows Isis Executing 16 'Spies' by Drowning and Beheading Using Explosive Wires]
