A Mumbai-based woman reportedly pulled out a gun after two men allegedly tried to molest her while she was shopping at a retail store in Karol Bagh in Delhi, reports said on Tuesday.

The woman, working as a model, was shopping at a retail outlet near Karol Bagh Metro station along with her friends on Monday, 12 October when the incident took place, PTI reported.

According to the police who are reviewing the CCTV footage taken from the shop to identify the two men, the woman was waiting for her turn at the bill counter, when she suddenly pulled out a gun.

The model in her complaint to the police said that two men had touched her inappropriately and were passing lewd comments. The men fled the scene even as the shocked staff at the store tried to intervene.

The Rajendra Nagar police have taken the statement from the woman but are yet to make any arrests.

Delhi, the national capital, has time and again made news over incidents of sexual violence against women. Last week, a four-year-girl was brutally gangraped and sodomised by four men in Keshav Puram, who then abandoned her near a railway track.

According to a report, there has been more than 1,500 case of rape registered so far this year.
