Top teams of the NBA are going to battle it out for the prestigious PlayoffsReuters

After an entertaining 2015 NBA regular season, top eight teams from Western and Eastern Conference each are going to battle it out in the prestigious Playoffs.

Some big teams such as Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns and Indiana Pacers have failed to make it to the Playoffs, which might be a surprise, but teams, which have made it to the Playoffs deserve their place in the competition.

Atlanta Hawks were the best team in the Eastern Conference with 60 wins and 22 losses, while Golden State Warriors have stood out in the Western Conference as they finished atop with 67 wins and 15 losses.

Without a shadow of doubt, these two conference toppers would be favourites for the title, but things have not looked great for the Hawks, who finished their season with three losses on a trot, while teams such as Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls finished on a high with six and four wins on a trot respectively.

However, the top three teams of the West, Warriors, Houston Rockets and LA Clippers have been in sublime form as they finished the season in great fashion with four, three and seven wins on a trot respectively.

If these teams from the West play like what they have been doing in their last few matches, they would give other teams in the Playoffs a tough time.

The Playoffs are scheduled to start from 18 April and here is look at the standings of the teams, which have made it through to the playoffs after playing 82 games.
