Indian mobile game developer Nazara Technologies has signed a deal with CSE for an exclusive copyright for developing, distributing and marketing games on Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.

The three-year-deal gives Nazara exclusive rights to develop cricket games on the international cricketer for different platforms like smartphones, web and DTH platforms.

According to Nazara, they will build 3 to 5 games on the internationally-acclaimed Indian batsman. All the games will be distributed free and will earn revenues from third-party advertisements, sponsorship and in-app purchase.

Nazara has already developed several games for popular smartphone platforms like Android and iOS. They also have partnership with the cult game development company like Electronic Arts, Digital Chocolate, Indiagames Ltd and more.

CSE is the sister concern of Cornerstone Sports & Entertainment, the branding and marketing company that has clients like cricketers Rohit Sharma, Sikhar Dhawan, Murli Vijay and Virat Kohli.

Making games on international celebrities is not a new thing in the industry. Electronic Arts has long been there to make console games on internationally acclaimed cricketers, soccer stars and basketball stars.

Nazara had also signed several celebrities before this, including Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan for developing games on them.

They have also signed a deal with Fox Star Studios to develop games based on upcoming Bollywood movies.
