Actor Nani's Majnu, which is the release for the actor in 2016, has fetched a fancy price for its satellite rights. The movie has beaten the record of his previous release, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy (BBM).

Majnu, starring Nani and Anu Emmanuel, is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies of 2016. Its music, trailer and other promos have created a lot of curiosity about the movie. Adding to the hype is the success graph of Nani, who has scored hat-trick with his last three releases - Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha and Gentleman.

All these aspects created huge demand for the Television rights of Majnu. Several leading TV channels were in race to bag its satellite rights and quoted really high prices for the film. Finally, Gemini TV had the last laugh, as it is said to have acquired its rights, shelling out a whopping price of Rs 4 crore.

MAA TV reportedly acquired the TV rights of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy for a whopping price of Rs 3.9 crore, which was the highest price for a Nani-starrer. His next outing Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha shattered this record by fetching Rs. 4.20 crore from Gemini TV, which also bagged the satellite rights of Gentleman for an unrevealed price. Now, Majnu has fetched another good price for him.

Another buzz in the industry is that the makers of Majnu have struck a deal with its Hindi-remake rights. A leading Bollywood filmmaker has reportedly acquired the rights of the movie. If we are to go by the reports, the filmmaker has shelled Rs 60 lakh on the rights. However, it is not yet clear who the cast and crew are and when the Hindi version will go on floors.

Majnu is a romantic, comedy-drama film, which has been written and directed by Virinchi Varma of Uyyala Jampala fame. Geetha Golla and P Kiran have produced the movie under their banners, Anandi Art Creations and Keva Movies respectively. Nani and Anu Emmanuel are playing the lead roles, while Vennela Kishore, Priya Shri and Posani Krishna Murali appear in supporting roles.
