With "Naagin" getting an extension of another month, owing to its popularity, the makers of the supernatural show are leaving no stone unturned to keep the ratings high till the end of the season.

It was reported recently that Rajat Tokas, who played an icchadhari nevla (shape-shifting mongoose), would be back on the show. Although Shivanya (Mouni Roy) and Sesha (Adaa Khan) had tried to kill the icchadhari nevla after learning about his evil intentions and believed him to be dead, the makers have decided to bring Rajat's character back so he can take revenge on the naagins.

According to latest reports, the makers have roped in Aashka Goradia, who will be introduced in the final episode of the current season of "Naagin," and will be seen playing an important role. The report further said the actress, who was last seen on "Balveer," will play the lead antagonist in the second season. Aashka had played a major role in the historical drama "Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap."

"It's exciting to be playing a powerful and immortal queen with supernatural powers. I am planning to make my look dramatic," Aashka told the Times of India. Apparently, Shweta Kawaatra was approached for the role but the deal between her and the makers didn't materialise.

There were also reports that Ankit Gera, who rose to fame with shows like "Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke" and "Pratigya," would be introduced in the upcoming episodes. Although Ankit's stint would be short, considering "Naagin" is nearing its end, the actor is expected to have a prominent role in the second season of the show.

Meanwhile, with "Naagin" airing its last episode on June 11 instead of May 15, the creative team of the show has been working on altering the climax sequence. "Although the creatives had finalised the climax, the channel recently had a meeting with the producers and asked them to extend 'Naagin' for a month. With them agreeing to it, the story line is being altered and the creatives are working on the new storyline," a source had told Tellychakkar.com.
