Italian superbike manufacturer MV Agusta is all set to enter India as emerging reports suggest that the company will commence its operations in the country formally on May 11. According to a report of IndiaToday, the launch will take place in Pune and the company will initially start the operations in Pune, Mumbai, Surat Bangalore and Delhi.
MV Agusta has joined hands with Pune based Kinetic group to enter the Indian market and the superbikes of the company will be sold through its joined sales network MotorRoyale. The company will bring the bikes in India as Completely Built Units (CBU), Completely Knocked Down kits (CKD) and Semi Knocked Down kits (SKD). MV Agusta is expected to bring its entire range to India. The current international portfolio of MV Agusta consists of the Brutale, Rivale, Turismo Veloce, F3 and the F4 superbike.
The company has announced the commencement of bookings in India and is accepting the bookings online through www.motoroyale.in. To be brought to India as CBU, the Brutale 1090 has been pegged at an introductory price of Rs. 19.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The company's range-topping F4 RR has been priced at Rs. 35.50 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). MV Agusta F3 800 will also be introduced soon in the market.
Powered by a 1,078cc four-cylinder four-stroke 16-valve engine, which can churn out 144bhp of maximum power at 10,300rpm and a peak torque of 112Nm at 8,100rpm paired to a six-speed gearbox, MV Agusta Brutale 1090 can attain a top speed of 265kph.
