Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta has teamed up with 2015 F1 champion Lewis Hamilton for a limited edition of its Dragster RR LH44 motorcycle. Only 244 units of the special edition of the naked street bike, styled by Hamilton will be available, each one signed by the British race driver.

"I have a huge passion for bikes, so the opportunity to work with MV Agusta on my own Dragster RR LH44 Limited Edition has been a great experience," said the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team driver.

Lewis Hamilton was in the Castiglioni research centre of MV Agusta to select details, finishes and exclusive accessories for the limited edition model. The pearl white colour scheme and panther logo have been taken from Hamilton's helmet, while 44 is his race number, which decorates the front and side of the bike and the ignition key.

The motorcycle features Alcantara quilt pattern saddle and parts such as the brake lever, handlebars, fuel filler cap and brake pump cover will be made by Ergal. The red colour finish on the logos, frame, footpegs and spoke wheels will add sportiness to the motorcycle. Other features of the Dragster RR LH44 include adjustable clip-on bars finished in matt black like the side stand, frame and footpeg plates.

Similar to a F1 car, most of the bodywork on the LH44 is made from carbon-fibre. The front and rear mudguards, the screen, air box and side covers, exhaust heat shields, gear box and swingarm covers and sprocket guard are in carbon-fibre.

The limited edition will be powered by the in-line three-cylinder 798cc engine that develops 138bhp at 13,1000rpm and 86Nm of torque at 10,100rpm mated to six-speed constant mesh transmission. The motorcycle runs on Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres with 120/70 ZR17 spec at front and 200/50 ZR17 at rear. The limited edition will be available in White Ice Pearl and Metal Black Carbon colour combination.
