Kanpur, Sep 09 (ANI): Kanpur situated in the northern part of Uttar Pradesh is a city known for religious importance. People from different religious faiths live here with amity and brotherhood. They enthusiastically celebrate and participate in each other’s festivals as well. One such instance can be seen during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Here Muslims participates enthusiastically with there Hindu brothers to celebrate the occasion. Ganesh Chaturthi falls during the month of August- September and is celebrated with utmost devotion all over the country. On this day idols of Lord Ganesha are installed and decorated and hymns are chanted as the rituals are performed. The Muslims in Kanpur also install the Idol of Ganesha and perform the rituals in the same manner as their Hindus brothers does.
