Lock of John Lennons hair set for auction

A special Beatles fan could own literally a piece of John Lennon, as a US auction house prepares to sell, what they have authenticated as, a lock of the singers hair. Heritage Auctions, who will sell the clump of hair on 20 February, in Dallas, Texas, said it comes from a hairdresser who trimmed Lennons hair in 1966 Germany, before he filmed the movie, How I Won the War.
