Murdoch and his colleagues will investigate the murder of a young suffragette in Monday's episode of CBC's "Murdoch Mysteries."

The episode entitled "Double Life" will see Emily and Lillian excited to move to London. Spoilers posted on the wikia page of the crime drama also revealed that Victoria Hall in Cobourg was used as a train station in this episode, and that George and Emily were spotted hugging and she had a suitcase with her.

But it looks like their hopes will be shattered due to an unexpected murder.

Spoilers for the upcoming episode noted that "Double Life" will come as a shock for longtime "Murdoch Mysteries" fans, as rumours are rife that the person who will die in season 9 episode 3 is Lillian.

The show hasn't revealed much about the murderer other than that "the real killer may still be living under an assumed name."

News of Lillian's death has caught the attention of a number of George-Emily fans, who wasn't thrilled when Lillian came in between them.

"I think something is going to happen to Lillian and Dr. Grace will stay and realize how much she truly loves George and they will get back together," noted a fan on the show's Facebook page.

So far, showrunner Peter Mitchell hasn't revealed what's in store for George and Emily, but he did note that the core team will be together in season 9, and Emily is a significant part of it.

"We're probably going to work, a little more this year, at putting the team back together and see them work more as a coordinated unit. But it's Murdoch Mysteries, so hopefully we'll still have controversial storylines and zany storylines…" he told TV, Eh?
