Two tourists have been killed and 10 injured near Munnar Eravikulam National Park in Idukki District of Kerala on Tuesday.  

The incident happened around 12 noon after a Forest Department bus carrying tourists fell into a gorge near Ancham Mile.

Ajesh Mohan, 35, from Perumbavoor has been identified as one of the victims. Another victim is said to be a native of Tamil Nadu.

The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals. The condition of two of them is said to be critical, including that of Ananthu Raveendran from Kottayam.

It is said that there were as many as 14 passengers inside the bus, which was on its way back from Rajamala. Initial reports suggest that the bus lost control due to brake failure that resulted in the accident.
