Energy tycoon and Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped Forbes' list of richest Indians for the fifth time in a row.
Despite his fortune falling for the third consecutive year, Ambani maintained the top position with a net worth of $21 billion, Forbes reported.
London-based steel baron, Lakshmi Narayan Mittal, attained the second position with $16 billion, followed by Azim Premji, Chairman of Wipro Limited, with $12.2 billion.
Since last year Mittal's fortune dropped down by $3.2 billion as shares of the world's largest steelmaker company, Arcelor Mittal, were under pressure due to rising costs and slow demand in Europe.
Pallonji Mistry, chairman of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, made it to the fourth place with $9.8 billion. Surprisingly, this year's managing director of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Dilip Shanghvi, made it to the top five list for the first time with $2.5 billion worth in fortune.
The Hinduja brothers - Srichand, Gopichand, Prakash and Ashok - also made it to the list for the first time with fortune worth $8 billion.
This year there are 61 billionaires in all as compared to last years' 57 billionaires.
