Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has made wonderful collection at the Indian box office in the first weekend. The movie has crossed Rs 60 crore mark in the domestic market in just three days.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the biopic on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has had a record opening and collected Rs 21.30 crore nett at the Indian box office on the first day. The movie became the second biggest Bollywood opener of 2016 after Salman Khan's Sultan.
The Sushant Singh Rajput starrer garnered positive talk from the critics and the audience and the the word of mouth took its business upwards on Saturday. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story collected Rs 20.60 crore at the Indian box office on Saturday. The positive response helped the movie show a big leap on Sunday as well.

With a strong word of mouth, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is expected to carry on the winning streak at the commercial circuit over the weekdays as well, making huge box office records in coming days.
Not only in the single screens, it has been making brilliant business at the multiplexes as well. Dhoni is one of the most loved Indian cricketers and the earning of the film validates the fact. Also, the well-written script plus the good performances resulted in the strong word of mouth.
The film shows the journey of MS Dhoni from being a ticket collector at the Indian Railways to becoming the huge star that he is and also touches upon his love life. While Sushant played the titular role, Disha Patani is seen as the cricketer's first girlfriend and Kiara Advani portrayed the character of Dhoni's wife.
