After the superhero role in "Ra.One", Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will be seen as an international criminal in Farhan Akhtar's forthcoming "Don 2: The Chase Continues."

The film is a sequel to the 2006 super-hit thriller, "Don: The Chase Begins Again", which was made with a budget of Rs. 35 crores. The film generated revenue worth Rs. 104 crores at the box office. Work on its sequel began back on Oct. 10, 2010 and the film is slated to be released on Dec. 23, 2011.

The first film saw the title character, Don, played by Shah Rukh Khan, rise to become the undisputed ruler of the Malaysian criminal underworld, taking advantage of local rivalries and enmities. The film finished with Don making good his escape, despite being hotly pursued by the police, taking advantage of a fracas between law enforcement officials and his former associates.

The sequel shifts the spotlight to Berlin, Germany; Don's next target is to dominate the European underworld as well. In his way are the current heads of various criminal organizations, as well as law enforcement agencies.

The action shifts from Kuala Lumpur to Berlin as Don must avoid assassination or arrest, whichever comes first, in order for his plan to succeed.
