Motorola is extending helpful after-sales service to its Indian consumers with its first official Moto Care Center in Bangalore.

Motorola's offline appearance in the country is first of many, which kicks off company's plans to launch new experience stores nationwide. The new stores will not entertain sales but will only serve as a one-stop-shop for customers to get hands-on experience with Motorola phones and other products along with service support.

The first Moto Care center is located at Jayanagar Road in Bangalore. Customers can walk into the brick and mortar store to check out various products first hand. The products on display include Moto X (with leather and wood versions), Moto G, Moto E, Moto Turbo, Motorola Nexus and Moto 360. Although, the offline store will not carry out sales, the support staff will help potential buyers help book any device online via Flipkart. Customers can get support on all software and hardware related repairs for their purchased smartphones.

The Moto Care center is spread across 3,000sq.ft area and demonstrates latest interiors and features unique to Motorola. The new offline stop is part of company's ongoing efforts to bring seamless after-sales service to its customers in India, where Motorola phones are only sold online via Flipkart.

Motorola is currently testing Moto Care on Wheels project in the capital of the country where customers get doorstep service to their Motorola products for up to 30 days after purchase. The repair will be carried out instantly and take up to few hours depending on the intensity of the problem. Also, Motorola offers Moto Care App, which serves as an instant helpline for guiding customers to the point of contacts. Separately, Motorola has over 150 repair and service centers across India that also offer support to its customers, according to BGR.

The effective after-sales service model is great on the long-run as most companies that sell products online do not offer similar guidance. For instance, Xiaomi is exclusively carrying out its sales via Flipkart and handles servicing online. This may not be the most preferred way for most customers as they are required to ship their phones for repair.
