Last month, Lenovo-owned Moto (formerly known as Motorola), confirmed to host an event in India to launch the flagship phone on October 4.
Previously, it was believed that only the Moto Z would be unveiled. Now, the company's new teaser has confirmed that it will be releasing another phone- Moto Z Play, a low-end version of the marquee phone as well. Moto India will be streaming the launch event at 12:00 pm noon on Tuesday.
The original Moto Z features military aircraft-grade aluminium cover with water resistant nano-coating on the back and stainless steel-based frame around the edges. On the front, it sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Shield.
It comes packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP front snapper and a 2600mAh battery.
On the other hand, Moto Z Play sports a 5.5-inch full HD super AMOLED screen with finger print sensor at the bottom and comes with blend of metal and glass body having aluminum frame around the edges and glass cover on the back.
Under the hood, it houses 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core with Motorola Mobile Computing System backed by 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 16MP primary camera and a 5MP snapper on the front.
The key aspect of Moto Z Play is its battery. It comes packed with a massive 3,510mAh cell, which is capable of keeping the phone running for close to 50 hours under mixed â€“usage and it also boasts TurboCharge feature, where-in 15 minutes of charging is enough power the phone for up to 9 hours.
In addition to Moto Z and Z Play, the company is also expected to launch photography-centric Moto Mod accessory Hasselblad True Zoom. It boasts of 10x Optical Zoom and a Xenon flash and also allows users to shoot in RAW format and manually control shutter and zoom.
Other Moto Mods accessories, which are coming to Indian market include- battery packs, 'SoundBoost' with JBL speaker and a kickstand, and a pico projector.
