Motorola Mobility is reportedly planning to launch the new limited edition Moto G Turbo in India.

Motorola India (via Twitter) on Monday night (7 December) posted a teaser with a caption – "Power up and get ready for #TurboMode! 3 Days to go for Moto G Turbo edition. Coming soon!" -- confirming that the company will release new Moto G (3rd Gen) variant on 10 December.

For the uninitiated, Moto G Turbo was originally unveiled in Mexico last month. Now, the new device will hit stores in India soon.

Key difference between the Moto G Turbo edition and the original model is that the former variant houses 64-bit Snapdragon Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), full HD (1920x1080p) display, whereas the latter features 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and HD (1280x720p) screen.

Another notable inclusion in the new Moto G variant is the Turbo Power technology, which is said to enable quick charging of the device. A few minutes of charging will be more than enough for the phone to run for many hours of talk-time.

Rest of the specifications of the devices remain same. They house 2GB RAM, 13MP camera on the rear-side, 5MP front-camera, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, 2470 mAh battery and boast IP67 water-and-dust proof certification.

[Note: Devices with IP67 certification have the ability to survive 5 feet under-water for up to 30 minutes.]
